Hauksson on the BBC iPlayer, 07:44 onwards (first section was Arman Thorvaldsson):

Concentrates on Kaupthing. Market manipulation. Cases will begin to be concluded "within a year".

Is that worry that he will not find any thing except more that makes EU commission and Uk regulators look more bad than already they have been ?

I doubt that Fisy. Firstly, the context makes it perfectly clear that the the doubts have come from Icelanders and are related to his previous experience. Secondly, AFAIK that's not his job. He's not meant to produce a report apportioning blame, but rather to investigate things like the dodgy share sales/purchases, dodgy loans, etc.

It really does beggar belief that you appear to honestly believe that everything was both legal and ethical. And kudos on managing to shoehorn your EU-phobic views into an unrelated thread :) .

>Eva Joly, the famous fraud investigator and Hauksson’s key international adviser, complimented him as “very hard working and very honest”.

My respect for Eva Joly increases by month.

>The FT article states that some doubt Hauksson’s ability to successfully lead the investigation

Is that worry that he will not find any thing except more that makes EU commission and Uk regulators look more bad than already they have been ?

Really the FT is so Europhileic now that many has switched over to reading City AM instead http://www.cityam.com/ .

When I read article there it is like more reading articles in UK Guardian except every one still believes that FT is on side of bankers and other City capitalists. Nothing could be further from truth.
