Landsbanki has repossessed the property of Icelandic businessman Hannes Smarason, including his home at Fjolnisvegur 11 in Reykjavik, RUV reports.
The house was registered to a holding company called Fjolnisvegar 9. The company also owned a large flat on Pont Street in London, which the bank has also taken over.

So, there you go?
Well, could we offer the house to GB/Dutch Icesave depositors?
On the conditions they will pay all bills – heating, property tax etc. :-)
IT IS FUNNY, AGAIN WITH THE VIKING THING, I HAVE SEEN THAT MAN I WOULD SAY THAT HE IS VERY MUCH OF IRISH ANCESTRY, SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT HE ALSO HAS SOME SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF FRENCH FISHERMEN BLOOD IN HIS FAMILY LINE…
HAHAHAH, KAMON VIKINGS, GIVE ME A BREAK… AND THAT HOUSE IS CRAP, YOU NEED TO SPEND LOTS OF MONEY TO REPAIR AND REBUILT IT. IT IS BETTER TO PUT IT DOWN AND RAISE A NEW ONE IN ITS PLACE….
THIS NEWS ARE SOMETIMES SO FUNNY, AS IF HE WAS AN OIL MAGNATE, I DON´T THINK THE HOUSE LOOKS LIKE THE CARRINGTON´S MANSION IN DINASTY…
SIR.
Before saying CAP**** – check facts please.
This house was rebuilt and repaired. Very nice place now. On the very nice street of same nice houses. Juts five minutes walk from the middle of Reykjavik.
British/Dutch Icesave clients might stay here for free for the next 50 years as part of re-payment plan :-)
@Sir – “IT IS FUNNY, AGAIN WITH THE VIKING THING” – It´s probably the same as with understanding the jews – you have to be an insider to understand. Here is at least a viking (together with 6000 men/60 ships) that went to Jerusalem ;-)
