Moratinos go away with Zapatero and loos both selfs. You have to be more interesting about what happen in your country than go to iceland.

  2. la armada invencible says:

come on moratinos. Stop giving lessons to anyone. We have 5 million people unemployed in Spain, the country bankrupt and on debt. Please, don t´ make a fool of yourself and go back to Spain, don t´ embarrash the image of our beloved country.

After extincting the fish in many corners of the world.Moratinos want to have some space in which he can take our fish. But, we have already poeple who monopolise this Industry and will not let him dream of even seeing a fresh fish in a supermerket all our fish is frozen.

  4. Reino de España says:

Again, the eternal war in Spain: right-wing; left-wing! If you look for something in Spain, you will find the brotherly hatred; it is a country where brother hates brother! Even on these sites, we can read lies and stored hatred.

@ españa & la armada invencible:

    - Mr. Moratinos was not giving lessons to anyone! Mr. Moratinos did only visit Iceland: Spain takes over the EU’s rotating presidency in January.

    - We DO NOT have 5 million people unemployed in Spain. Even we do not have 4 million people unemployed in Spain now.

    - Spain IS NOT a country bankrupted: European countries bankrupted are Iceland, Ukraine, Hungary, Latvia, …

    - Mr. Moratinos does not make a fool of himself: he did visit Iceland. And, he does not embarras the image of Spain. Image of my beloved Kingdom is embarrased by you when you do write lies here.

    - “Our beloved country” ??????????????? A man who write lies about his ‘beloved country’ does not love his country! And, you do not love your country: you try to damage the Government of the country, and, really, you are damaging the country! This is a point of view so different!!!

    @laxness

Do not worry! Moratinos does not want to have some space in which he could take your fish! EU looks for different things! On the other hand, Iceland looks for the Euro and, never joining to the EU. Profits? YES! Obligations? NEVER! NEVER! NEVER!

I hope it’s not SIR EURO to maintain the relationship !

Well, there’s also our Jorge who may replace Gus.

  6. la armada invencible says:

Judging by your point of view, Mr.Reino de España, you must be one of the incompetent ministers of Mr Zapatero. We have already reached 5 million unemployed. the official amount is 4 million, but you have to add those who are taking course to improve their curriculum, and these figures don t´ apply in the official sheet.

I love my country, yes, whatever is left after an incompetent bunch of irresponsible people end their rule (3 more years of pain).

Yes, Mr Moratinos went to the summit to talk about our next presidency of the EU, but also to give lessons of how good they are going through the crisis in Spain. And, again, Zapatinos has no moral or ethic to give lessons to everyone as they got on power by liyng miserably.

To our Spanish friends: thank you for your interest in this website and Iceland. However, please keep your internal political fights at home – this is not the place to debate such issues. Whether Moratinos is left-wing or right-wing isn’t important to us; we view him primarily as a Spaniard and European.

  8. la armada invencible says:

ok, no debate, let ´s talk about puffins and icesave.

There is a difference between being actually declared bankrupt by court/creditors and being so.

Assets versus liabilities AND the inability to pay when asked the loans become due is definition of going bankrupct, i.e. dead.

What is happening now is that governments are pilling money in to prop up they banks and property country to try and stop their death. This creates zombies, the dead companys that should be allowed to be declared bankcrupt but stopped by tax payer money.

There are many of those in Spain.

People who are not working at 17-19% of population ( as in Spain ) is not the sign of healthy economy.

Iceland’s umployment rate did not top 10% and is already slowly falling again. Opposite happening in Spainish employment. There is less and less of it as time goes on.

So it is strange to hold up Spain as good example of country that doing fine.

One of this countries of the EU and with the Euro, be it Portugal Greece, Italy, Ireland or Spain is going to default on its sovereign debts.

When this happen and Germany not bail them out as before all hell will break loose. My money it being Spain.

But UK and USA just as likely to come into default after Spain — but that is not because they currencies cant be devalued like Spain because Spain have the Euro — but because UK and USA have just spent so much money they have to such crazy level.

Let us not forget that it was Spanish bank pushing dubious paper at ECB in discount window that cause tightening of collateral by ECB.

Spain now has its problems to get out its mess because it has the Euro. The drunken party is over and now host has to clean up. But the mess is much more than before and that host — Germany — not so keen to pay the cleanup bill.

    Dear Friends
Clearly, fighting is the only thing that can be accomplished correctly by the EU, grow up.
