A company born from a passion for history; the Viking Circle is a one of a kind enterprise dedicated to bringing Old Norse culture and beliefs to a modern audience.
The Viking Circle provides something stimulating for everybody from academics to children, and everyone in between.
The Viking Circle is centred at its art and educational centre near Reykjavik at a place called Straumsvik (near Hafnarfjordur Town). At the centre guests can find an impressive array of art and literature, as well as talks and tours.
In addition to the existing housing, Viking Circle even has advanced plans for a kind of theme park called the Story Garden. As the company is run partly on the ideas and expertise of artist Haukur Halldorsson, it has been possible to assemble a beautiful collection of modern sculptures and other arts in the Old Norse style.
The Viking Circle’s Art and Educational Centre opens its doors by appointment at any time of year and welcomes groups of all sizes. Organising a visit is as easy as a simple phone call, and the telephone numbers are available on the Viking Circle website.
If you consider yourself something of a Nordic history buff or a Viking expert, or are interested in the cultural history of all of Northern Europe for that matter, the Viking Circle is definitely for you. And everybody will learn something and can appreciate the art and the stories from the distant past. The centre’s dedicated and enthusiastic owners only add to the experience and their knowledge is yours for the picking.

Flag of the world.
It’s beautiful,
for me, to
speak about
the dream of
a tired book,
with a noise
in my heart
that stands in
the melody like
a starry behaviour.
