A group of Norwegian investors, led by Endre Rosjo, want to put ISK 20 billion in long-term investments into the Icelandic economy.
According to MBL.is, Rosjo has already met with representatives of Icelandic pension funds with a view to setting up a special investment fund to be run co-operatively between the pension funds and the Norwegian team. The idea is that the pension funds will also invest ISK 20 billion.
Rosjo told MBL that he was invited to Iceland in April by Svein Harald Oygard, the then acting head of the Central Bank of Iceland and a fellow Norwegian.

In other words buying off at ridiculous prices Iceland, “investors” is the new word for “selling off our resources and companies” Just like Magma from canada, the media is selling the sory as “Canadian company willing to invest in Iceland” Sometimes I feel this portal is becoming like one more little arm of the mainstream media, just a healthy criticism.
I believe Svein Harald Oygard is a trustworthy man,
if he is behind this i am sure its positive,
he did well for us in the central bank and i wish he would have been in that position much longer,
if we had a professional in the CB, and in all position’s in the gov instead of the characters we currently have, the situation would be a lot different.
Easy – If Iceland doesn’t have investors, it will become a poor rural island. Proud, but poor.
Indeed
Norway take us back like in the Old days.. Better Norway than the IMF sharks!
Better Norway than the European Union.
