Beacon uses rather colourful language re ‘mass immigration’ etc, but so far as your legislature is concerned I think he/she is correct.

Fortunately, Icelanders will have a referendum when the negotiations are complete. My advice would be to stay out, the EU won’t be the fairy godmother that 33 of your MPs hope it will be. The EU fisheries policy has been a disaster which you would do well to avoid.

This is what happens when you vote for a left-wing government. This is officially the end of our independance, our glory, our pride, our individuality and nationhood. This spineless government is too lazy to seek a practical solution, so they resort to allowing Iceland be swallowed up by the greedy dictatorship that is the European Union. This is a sad day for any Icelander.

Where is the sanity? Iceland is already a trading partner and enjoys free movement and trade with in massive EU Superstate.

Do they not know what they are getting into? Iceland will lose any independence handing complete control over to unelected faceless bureaucrats who will think they know what is best for Iceland.

Just as here in Britain, their parliament will only be a talking shop devoid of any real power. A mere state council who may tinker at the edges of law but powerless to write any laws of their own without approval from the EU masters.

EU laws will be forced upon them. Mass immigration will be set upon them to destroy Icelandic culture and values. Words like, ‘social cohesion’, ‘multiculturalism’ and the cancer of political correctness will envelop them.

This is like taking a healthy body and deliberately injecting it with poison. It makes no sense. It is State suicide.

Iceland is not like the parasite States that have joined the EU who feed off the taxes of the richer nations. States that offer nothing to other nations. Vampire States that suck the blood of others.
