Passengers say that services at Keflavik International Airport are outstanding.

Airports Council International conducts the most comprehensive airport service survey in the world; and Keflavik International was named the third best airport in Europe in the first quarter of 2009, snapping at the heels of Porto in Portugal and Zurich in Switzerland, which was in first place.

Keflavik International Airport has consistently been one of the best performing airports in the list, and the difference is a mere 0.01 points between the top three airports in the first quarter results for 2009.

The ACI service survey is compiled from results at 127 airports around the world. Passengers answer questions on around 30 different aspects of airport service and interval reports are issued quarterly, with a full report once a year.

Waiting time at Passport Control at Keflavik International Airport was rated the second best in Europe; as was the ease of making flight connections – the airport was also named the second best in the entire world for airports with fewer than five million passengers annually in this category.

According to passengers, Keflavik International Airport has Europe’s fourth-best executive lounges and is the cleanest of all airport terminals in Europe.
