Voters’ changing affections

althingi1There has been a great shift in the political loyalties of Icelanders, according to a new Capacent Gallup poll revealed this week. Among other things, it revealed that a quarter of people who voted for the Independence Party in 2007 intend to vote for one of the current coalition partners on 25th April.

According to Mbl.is, Capacent Gallup polled support for the different political parties between 8 and 14 April and one of the conclusions drawn is that those who voted for the Left Green Movement in 2007 are the most loyal group. 82.1 percent of the party’s 2007 voters intend to vote Green again. The biggest leech of Left Green support has been towards the Social Democrats, with 8.8 percent of previous Green voters now intending to vote for the Social Democrats.

Opinion poll not whole story of course depending on who is making the question.

Scary thing coming if Left-Green and Social Democrat win majority it not be as it has been since 1944 on. This first time they unrestrained power if they get majority.

One thing I wonder is where all this extra money they suddenly have coming from.

How much is EU giving Social Democrats I wonder? EU has huge proopganda budget and likes to give it out to friends.

Sure plenty donations from individuals companies to Social Democrat but that not hole story.
