    It’s time!
We don’t need more bad examples like Bush, and discussing only after 2011, about speeches similar to the one “of weapons of mass destruction”.
Iceland it a right now an open debate and it should stay like. That’s the only solution to go further in financial investigations and catch the villains.
Geir and all his little tribe are way guilty demeanor… What are they hiding? A lot of people know, but unfortunately will not speak until the same power remains. Will it be only subprime? More subprime? Conflict of interests? Corruption? Laundry?
The true comes with a provisory government who can be able to investigate the current situation without being compromise by skelets.

In Iceland, only the current coalition parties, not the opposition parties, can call for a new election. At the moment, the coalition parties hold a strong majority in the parliament.

It is clear that the Independence Party does not want elections anytime soon, as they would be the party that would most likely loose.

The key lies with the other coalition party, the Social Democrats. Their top members serving in the government have said they do not want elections at this point, but there is a lot of unrest with the rest of the troops.

One potential flashpoint is the ICB chairman, David Oddsson which almost everyone, including even many members of the Independence Party want gone. He serves at the will of the Prime Minister, Geir Haarde, which so far has not been willing to consider letting him go.

It is likely that at some point later this year or early next year, when things have settled down a bit on the finance/banking crisis, that the Social Democrats will give Geir Haarde an ultimatum, either David Oddson leaves or they will dissolve the government. It will be interesting to see what happens then.

You guys have a great opportunity here as a nation to redefine your country and banking in general. You should establish a provisional government made up of the people not any current politicians and get rid of the privately owned central bank you have in place and issue currency directly from the treasury, debt free. You can set an example to the world. Right now banks are collapsing, taking bailouts and then loaning money into existence through organizations such as the IMF to debt to every country that the tax payers around the world will pay for generations to come. Dont buy into their solutions. Create your own.

    In the way to be…

“The minister of Justice has already spoken for the bill about a special District Attorney, that would investigate cases that could be penitentiary. Arni Pall warned about the idea that this special office should be able to solve all problems and give a perfect overview over everything that has gone wrong. The Parliament has to process law about an independent investigation committee”.

    Lets hope so!
