I called Landsbanki’s office this morning. I asked if I could make some operations. She said “No” and when I asked if the stock exchange was open she said “I don’t know”. Finally I ended up asking if I will be able to make operations tomorrow she yet again said “I don’t know”.

    Super !

I am visiting Iceland this weekend, I am unable to buy Krona in the UK !!! Is currency currently being exchanged in Iceland? Is this tied up with the stock exchange being shut?

    @ Nigel Preston

hi just a little advice to you concerning buying the krona in England Dont do it
you will get a really bad rate its always better when dealing with Iceland to buy the kr in Iceland you get a much better rate
if you do buy in england you will loose at least 15%

  5. Nigel Preston says:

Thanks Alan I would rather give any profit to the Icelandic economy anyway. I’ll take some sterling and Euros.
