In an early summer full of huge forest fires in Scandinavia, another one in Norway is now raging near the town of Mykland in the Froland area, according to Aftenposten.
Up to 600 hectares have gone up in flames, and emergency crews Wednesday fought to save the town’s historic church.
“It’s very difficult to get an overview here,” said Anders Thorbjornsen, in charge of operations at the emergency central in Aust-Agder County. “We don’t have control over this fire.”
Strong winds are reported to be fanning the fire, which started on Monday, out of all control. Residents have been evacuated and over 100 fire fighters with the help of water-dropping helicopters are fighting to save any homes from distruction.
The fire has already destroyed summerhouses and cabins.

I’m sure that if asked, the Russians would be happy to assist.
California/the US ignores them.
