The second day of Christmas is here

The four tenorsIceland celebrated Christmas this year covered in light white snow, the first real white Christmas in Reykjavik for a few years. Traditionally the second day of Christmas in Iceland is used for relaxation, eating left-overs and visiting distant relatives.

Now Icelanders start preparing for the 31st of December and the New Year celebrations. Shooting up fire crackers and rockets is a big Icelandic tradition and Iceland has repeatedly been on the list of “Ten Best Places to be on New Year’s Eve” as voted by Yes! Weekly US.
