First European Hacker Halted computer security event proves great successHacker Halted, the world’s leading hacker prevention and computer security conference, held its first European event this year at the HARPA Conference Centre in Reykjavík, Iceland. The event proved to be a great success with hundreds of guests attending the conference and additionally actively participating in the training programmes.

Hacker Halted Europe 2013 featured renowned speakers and industry experts who spoke about current digital security threats, and discussed the various means of protection and countermeasures in dealing with these threats.

The event curated some of the most sought after technical training and certification classes, which were run by top training companies and led by well-respected instructors. There was an array of courses on offer including Certified Ethical Hacker, Advanced Penetration Testing, Advanced Network Defence and Securing Windows Infrastructure,  all of which are recognised by the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants (EC-Council).

EC-Council is a member-based organisation that certifies individuals in various information security and e-business skills. Many of these certifications are recognised worldwide and have received endorsements from various government agencies including the U.S. Federal Government via the Montgomery GI Bill, National Security Agency (NSA), and the Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS).
