Ole Morten Settevik appointed new CEO of Advania Norway

It has recently been announced that Ole Morten Settevik has been appointed CEO of Advania Norway, the Norwegian subdivision of one of Northern Europe’s biggest IT companies.

Advania has an attractive customer base, competent co-workers, and good relations to its main partner Microsoft. This, added to the fact that the company delivers standard software with solutions adapted to each industry, makes Advania a valuable, predictable, and solid partner on the market, says Settevik, who assumes chief position on 1st October.

Settevik has in the previous year become well acquainted with his new employer through working on the board of Advania Norway. As a member of the board, he has contributed to the lowering of costs and restructuring. On his agenda as CEO, growth in sales and earnings ranks the highest, including expansion within Northern Europe, especially within the ERP field.

Ole Morten Settevik’s previous role was as CEO of Bluegarden, and for many years he was the top leader of Microsoft Norway, after which he became leader of Ementor Norway. The new CEO of Advania also has experience as sales leader of ECsoft and IBM. Settevik has also held a number of offices on boards within the IT industry, and is today the Board Director of Intellisearch. Settevik holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s in Science in Economics from Handelshøjskolen in Copenhagen. He is married and has two adult children.

We are very pleased to welcome such an experienced IT figure as Ole Morten Settevik. As a member of the board, he has already contributed valuably to Advania Norway. Throughout his entire career, Ole Morten has distinguished himself as a leader by combining solid IT competence with powerful communication abilities, and a good understanding of the clients’ needs. These are exactly the qualities we feel are needed in order to succeed in the job as CEO of Advania Norway”, says Gestur G. Gestsson, Board Director of Advania AS.

The Advania business group has for several years contributed to a positive growth both in sales and earnings (EBITDA). In 2011, the sales of the business group amounted to 1.12 billion kroner, whilst the earnings before tax (EBITDA) were 48.5 million kroner. Advania Norway can boast income growth but has had a negative result at the bottom; the effect of restructuring is now anticipated. This year predicts a negative result, though a positive result is expected further on.
