Over a hundred former Landsbanki shareholders have so far signed up to take part in a group lawsuit against Bjorgolfur Thor Bjorgolfsson, who used to be the bank’s largest owner.
Ex-shareholders in the bankrupt bank were called to arms by full-page advertisements in Icelandic newspapers.
According to lawyer Olafur Kristinsson, people started streaming to him on Monday afternoon, and registration lasts all week. He has also had a steady stream of interest by telephone and email from overseas, RUV reports.
