Representatives of some of the biggest online brands on Earth will be in Reykjavik this Friday for the 8th annual Reykjavik Internet Marketing Conference — or RIMC.
RIMC is a conference, expo and networking event held each March in the Icelandic capital. It attracts people from all sorts of businesses and organisations who are seeking to maximise their use of the internet. There to meet them are speakers and experts from around the world with an unmatched offering of skills and advice.
This year RIMC will take place in the Smaralind Business Centre, which is adjoined to Smaralind — Iceland’s biggest shopping centre. Attendees will be encouraged to take part in one of two “tracks” at the conference: search and display will be the focus in one track, talking about best practice tips, tools and techniques and the other track will include discussions on the wonders of social media.
Speakers at RIMC 2011 will include prominent faces from many companies, including: YouTube, The Wall Street Journal, Facebook, Icelandair, Expedia, AOL, Microsoft and Nordic eMarketing.
Despite initially declaring the event sold out over a week ago, organisers have since found extra capacity and have a few tickets still available. The website is www.rimc.is.
