International law conference to be held in Reykjavik

Nordic eMarketing, in cooperation with Nomos, the Reykjavik Legal Forum, have announced that an international law conference will be held in Reykjavik, Iceland on September 14th.

The 2007 conference will discuss the ‘interface between competition law and intellectual property law’ and will feature top-level practitioners and scholars in the field, such as Prof. Steve Anderman from the University of Essex and Dr. Petri Kuoppamaki from Nokia. The event promises to offer a unique opportunity for people interested in these two fields of law to increase their knowledge and to discuss the latest developments in case law with their peers.

Nordic eMarketing, a Reykjavik based internet marketing company, will be the official international media and news distribution partner for the conference. The fast-growing Icelandic company has collaborated with a string of well-known companies such as Icelandair, Fujitsu, Glitnir and Bradford and Bingley International to help them market their events and products through the Internet.

The conference will be held at Hotel Saga on Friday 14th September with registration at 9am. Attendees can also take part in a guided excursion to Thingvellir, the old parliament site, the waterfall Gullfoss and the hot-spring area of Geysir on Saturday 15th September.
